the location was port gamble, the weather couldnt have been more perfect. the church was so beautiful to photograph in. lots of churches are dark and windowless which makes photographing in them not as fun. this one was fun!! i loved the simplicity of the whole event, the colors, the dresses, everything felt clean and light.

in the last year, these two had been separated for a large portion of it, he’s military. they bought a house, she and some of her fam remodeled it (like it had no walls and stuff! she’s handy!), AND she planned a wedding. yes, amazing. she is that girl, a get-er-done girl…

my sister ali and i went to maui in june. we chilled on the beach, kicked it with my friend angela, drank beer, laid by the pool, ate A LOT. that is what vacation is all about! i photographed a wedding while i was there and ali did the hair/was my assistant. jena and shane live over here but go to maui every year so it was the perfect place for them to get married.

angelina is a friend of mine. i remember when she first met john, the way they looked at each other, that kind of glance, look down and smile, it was so cute. we went out on his sail boat and hung out. i took some cute images of the two of them on the fly, her hair all blowing in the wind, you could tell they were in love. one of them ended up being their save the date image, who would have known?

angelina has THE coolest set of girlfriends ever! i went to her bachelorette party up in seattle, we stayed at the edgewater, went to a burlesque show at the can can, went out dancing, were toted around in a stretch hummer so we could party and not have to worry about driving and parking, it was soooooo fun! at one point there were 19 girls drunk girls in that hummer and everyone got along. now that is remarkable with females, dont you think?

at the reception, the girls in the wedding party ended up jumping in the pool in their dresses, it was sooo cool! and a bunch of the rest of us ended up in there too, it was a blast!

i met javiera at vixens, one of my fave stores in tacoma. she first came in as a bombshell, then later with her man in her wedding dress. More non-traditional peeps, i couldnt be happier!
